Daniel Foundation International Study Scholarships

In 2009, University Fellows received a $450,000 endowed gift from the Daniel Foundation to fund international study scholarships. Junior and senior Fellows are eligible to apply for awards ranging from $1,000-$3,000. These scholarships are based on a combination of demonstrated financial need and academic performance. Preference is given to students who are active members of the University Fellows community and who have not previously received a Daniel Foundation award.

Excellence Funds

The University Fellows Excellence Fund supports academic enrichment opportunities such as conference presentations, professional society meetings, and service-learning experiences. These funds may also be used to support student-led campus initiatives (for example, inviting a speaker to campus or hosting a forum). Students are encouraged to solicit in-kind funding from other academic departments.

Student Assistance Fund

Established by the University Fellows Parents Council, the Student Assistance Fund provides resources for financially needy Fellows. These funds can be applied towards a wide variety of needs. Examples include buying health insurance, covering emergency expenses, assisting with the cost of textbooks, or providing meals on the Fellows study abroad trip. Students must demonstrate financial need, as evidenced by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Completed forms may be returned to Ashley Floyd, Associate Director, in Brooks Hall 106 or Caroline Williams, Admission Coordinator, in Brooks Hall 101.
